The Krishna Ranch, run by a
Dutch/Indian couple, is situated 7 km. out of Udaipur at a very peaceful spot in the beautiful Arravali
mountain-range.
The Krishna Ranch offers great possibilities for everyone who wants to
get away from the noise and pollution of the big cities and explore
rural India.
We invite you to step with us into a completely different world of beautiful valleys, meandering rivers, lakes, remote villages and friendly tribal people.
We will show you Udaipur’s beautiful surroundings in an
environmental-friendly way, guided by people who come from the area and are familiar
with the local culture and nature.
We will enter the region at a pace which will give you plenty of time to really meet the local population and experience the nature of the amazing
Aravali mountain-range.
Horse-back riding is a great way to escape the busy cities and discover
rural India.
We arrange short
safaris from 2 ½ hours to 1 day or long
safaris from 3 days to 10 days or more. Our horses are well looked after and well trained. They are suitable for beginners and experienced riders. We use the locally bred
Marwari horses famous for their elegance and stamina. Our safaris go through agricultural areas, traditional villages and the wild-life-areas of the Arravalis.
We provide professional
English speaking local guides who have extensive knowledge about the
culture and nature of Rajasthan. Most safaris are being guided by Dinesh, the owner of the Krishna Ranch, who is passionate about horses and has been working with them for
25 years.
It is also possible to stay at the ranch in nicely decorated rural cottages. Surrounded by mountains, trees, plants and animals you will totally relax, enjoying the peace and fresh air. We provide excellent vegetarian meals and on request arrange musical evenings by tribal people of the nearby village.
The Krishna Ranch is also an excellent starting point for trekking into the Arravali mountains and the villages surrounding Udaipur. We have discovered several interesting routes, totally off the main roads.
Either you choose a horse-safari, a stay at the ranch or go trekking, it will be an experience you will not easily forget. Don’t miss it!
'Coming to the Ranch Krishna in the heart of the Arravali mountain-range and meeting Dinesh and his horses is a unique opportunity for any horse rider as much as for any traveller.Francine and Dinesh provide high quality service mixed with the respect and love for nature and living beings. It is rare in India as well as anywhere else in the world.
